Sidoarjo Regency Meaning of Symbols




Sidoarjo regency symbol consists of five parts :

1. A square of five irregularly shaped sides of the curly braces
symbolize : Philosophy Pancasila, which also means that the people of Sidoarjo regency has implemented the teachings of Pancasila with the orderly and definite,

2. A five-pointed star
symbolize : Almighty God, which describes the life of his divinity/religious people Sidoarjo Regency

HISTORY OF REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT SIDOARJO


In the year 1019 - 1042 East Javanese kingdom was ruled by a son of the marriage between Princess Mahandradata with Udayana (a Balinese Prince) called Airlangga, in Airlangga, peaceful state of the country, security is assured, and countries are making progress. Because the king Airlangga had two sons, then at the end of his reign he deems it necessary to divide the empire into two parts to be left to his two sons, so it does not happen in the future struggle for the throne. This division occurred in 1042 which became the kingdom of  Daha (Kediri) and Jenggala Kingdom. Jenggala kingdom, founded in 1024 located in the Delta Brantas region, which covers the entire northern coast, so that the harbor master great rivers and estuaries, while the capital is located around the District Gedangan now. As with the kingdom of  Kediri, the airport does not have so although the results on current Kediri very large and very large rivers, they all can not be traded because the kingdom Kediri closed from the sea as a way of trade at that time. So there arose a struggle between the airport and the royal kingdom of Kediri Jenggala, which then caused a great battle between two kingdoms, both of which claim authority over the kingdom of Airlangga. Geografis


Sidoarjo regency as one buffer capital of East Java Province, an area experiencing rapid development. This success was achieved due to various potentials in the region such as industry and trade, tourism, and small and medium enterprises can be packaged well and focused.
With the variety of potential areas and to support adequate human resources, then in its development Sidoarjo could be one of the strategic areas for the development of regional economy.
Sidoarjo District 112 is located between 5 'and 112 9' east longitude and between 7 3 'and 7 5' south latitude. Northern boundary is the municipality of Surabaya and Gresik regency, south is Pasuruan, east of the Madura Strait and the west is Mojokerto District.
